Beginning this summer, our church will host an annual mission week called River of Life. The focus of River of Life is to show God’s love to the members of our community by repairing homes of those in need. We will be repairing roofs, rotten siding, painting, installing wheelchair ramps and porches, and landscaping. The best part about it is that we are able to do all of this for no cost to the homeowner!

We will have church and youth groups arrive on July 11. Pine Forest will provide lodging and meals. Volunteers will work on homes July 12-14. The weekend will conclude that Sunday morning at church. We will have a worship session each night with a band and a speaker.

This truly is an amazing opportunity that God has blessed our church with. He is orchestrating a mighty thing that we cannot accomplish without Him or you. We would love to have you come on board with this project! Some ways that you can serve will be: helping to lead a worksite, in the kitchen preparing meals, helping to run supplies to the worksites, or you can help by designating a check to River of Life. The last and most critical way that you can help is by signing up to be a Nurturer. We will be nurturing each of the families that we help, in order to grow relationships and community and to share the love of Christ.
