Joel Dent, Director of Senior Adult Ministries
It is a special joy to return to Pine Forest after retirement to serve part-time as Associate Pastor in the area of Older Adult Ministries. I served as pastor from 1989-95 and as Dublin District Superintendent from 1995-2003. My wife, Joyce, and I are both graduates of LaGrange College. I attended Candler School of Theology at Emory for seminary and later received a doctoral degree in the area of Pastoral Care. I am humbled and enriched by the courage and faith of the older adults here at Pine Forest. Pine Forest has a place for those of every age. I hope to see YOU Sunday! Email
Mary Uible Crowson, Director of Music
I grew up in New Vienna, Ohio a booming town with about 900 people (we joked that half of them were in the cemetery!) and only 1 traffic light–with my parents, 3 sisters and a brother. I went to college at Wilmington College of Ohio, receiving a liberal arts degree in Music. After college, I sold display advertising for a newspaper until God called me to ministry when I attended Asbury Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky. Following Seminary I served First United Methodist Church in Somerset, Kentucky 1990-2000 and in 2001 we moved to Georgia when I began working at Pine Forest. I love helping people grow in their love for Jesus through music! Email

I grew up in Birmingham, Alabama then moved to Atlanta, Georgia when I was in High School. My undergraduate degree is from Georgia Southern University (Special Education) and eventually I added my Early Childhood education degree. Bucky and I married and made our home in Gordon, Georgia until 2003 when we moved to Dublin and joined Pine Forest United Methodist Church. We have 3 sons: Walker, Garrett and Brayden. I have been involved with the children’s ministry since 2005. It’s a tremendous blessing to watch children grow in their faith and to help them learn more about Jesus here at Pine Forest! Email
Susan Dyches, Administrative Assistant
I have been blessed to be on staff at Pine Forest as Church Secretary/Administrative Assistant since September 1988. I started out as a part time secretary, and used the typewriter for just about everything. These days we depend on computers! We have a great staff and we enjoy working together. And just as the church has grown, my job has also grown. In addition to staying busy in the office, I also enjoy volunteering with Pine Forest at the soup kitchen and Christmas gift wrapping at the mall. I enjoy DIY projects at home, sewing, crocheting, reading and playing with my dogs, Oliver and Lady Bug. I have one adult daughter, Nicole, who is a graduate of Georgia College and State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management. Email
Nancy Stinson, Financial Secretary
As the Financial Secretary I track and manage the assets of Pine Forest. What I like best about my job are the people of Pine Forest. I love gardening, reading and bridge. I have been at Pine Forest since December of 1999. My husband, Jimmy, and I have an adult daughter, Kristen (Mrs. Ryan McClung), who lives in Lewisburg, WV with two of the most intelligent and beautiful grandchildren ever placed on this earth! Email
