How We Help Each Other Grow

Bible Text: Romans 8:29 |

Series:

One of God’s greatest purposes for your life, is that you become more like Jesus Christ. While you’re here on earth, God wants to get you ready for Heaven and He wants you to grow in godly character. But how do you do that? Well, you really can’t grow spiritually on your own. You need others to help you. I Thessalonians 5:11 tells us: “Therefore encourage each other and build each other up.”

We look at some ways in which we can grow in our love for each other, and also help each other grow in our faith. Here’s the first way: by affirming each other's worth. Everybody needs affirmation, and whenever you and I affirm other people, we are showing love and we are being like Jesus. When we love/affirm others, we are doing God’s work in the world, and we’re showing the world a little bit more about what God is like. So here’s the question: How do we do this? How do we make the choice to love and affirm other people everyday? There are four ways.
